The 21st Annual Charity Classic & Supercars Show returns to the magnificent grounds of Sherborne Castle, featuring an exciting Marque Feature celebrating Alfa Romeo with a historic line‑up of race and road cars. Visitors can enjoy more than 2,000 Classic, Supercars, Veteran, Race, Rally, American, Custom, Hot Rod and Special vehicles, alongside 50+ car clubs across the showground.
The Sherborne Castle Country Fair presents a fun and varied programme of events, rural activities, stands and entertainment including one of the largest standalone rare breed shows in the country. For one day each year one of the finest settings, with its picturesque grounds and lake surrounding Sherborne Castle, is transformed into a popular Country Fair with attractions, demonstrations and activities for all the family. We look forward to welcoming you for a lovely day out!
The Fair was started by a small group of volunteers, in 1996, with the aim of raising money for local charities, especially those working with children and young people. To date it is still run by volunteers and has raised over £1.3M for local charities and support groups.
The aim of this much-loved event has always been to offer good value for money to visitors and supporters alike. Because it is run by volunteers it has low overheads and offers a fun day out for any size pocket – many of the entertainments are included within the price of the entry ticket.
All organisations and individuals taking part in the Fair appear at the invitation of the Committee. Sherborne Castle Country Fair, which is a company limited by guarantee and a not-for-profit organisation, raises income from ticket sales, fundraising and sponsorship which covers the costs of staging the event and allows all extra funds raised to be distributed to local charities and support groups.
