We are delighted to announce that we’re taking part in the GREAT BRITISH SUMMER SAVINGS SCHEME – a government programme to help make days out a little more affordable this summer by reducing VAT on tickets prices from 20% – 5%.

We’re passing on every penny to our visitors:
Castle & Garden tickets will be reduced from £20 – £17.50
Gardens Only will be reduced from £15 – £13
Child entry will be reduced from £5 – £4

The GREAT BRITISH SUMMER SAVINGS SCHEME is running from 25th June – 1st September and our tickets will be available at these lower prices on all our open days during this period.

Hidden among the trees of Sherborne Castle and Gardens, the fairy door trail feels like stepping into a storybook. Tiny doors nestled in roots, walls, and tree trunks invite curious visitors to imagine secret lives within. Each door is uniquely decorated, sparking wonder in children and adults alike. The trail winds gently through the peaceful gardens, with birdsongs and rustling leaves adding to the magic. It encourages slow exploration, playful discovery, and moments of quiet enchantment, making it a charming highlight of any visit to the gardens. Perfect for families, it blends nature, creativity, and imagination beautifully together.

Prizes will be available from the ticket box at the end of the trail. Fancy dress is very much welcomed.

The 21st Annual Charity Classic & Supercars Show returns to the magnificent grounds of Sherborne Castle, featuring an exciting Marque Feature celebrating Alfa Romeo with a historic line‑up of race and road cars. Visitors can enjoy more than 2,000 Classic, Supercars, Veteran, Race, Rally, American, Custom, Hot Rod and Special vehicles, alongside 50+ car clubs across the showground.
